In March 2015 Elmwood Productions held it's premiere screenings of HEAD - A one of a kind horror film starring a cast of puppets.

Since it's release the movie has played in film festivals in six continents, won six awards, sold out DVDs and screenings and was picked up for distribution by Terror Films.

Elmwood Productions is excited to bring the film to Sea Tea Comedy Theater for this special screening. It's the first in a series of events being hosted by the upcoming You Don't Say? - Puppet Improv

show that begins at the theater this spring!

Following the movie members of the cast and crew will be on hand for a Q & A session, and a puppetry demonstration.

Doors open at 6, the movie starts at 7.

HEAD is a one of a kind film starring an all puppet cast in a throwback to the slasher films of the 1970's and 1980's. A group of twenty somethings go for a nice fall weekend camping trip and end up in the middle of nightmare they may never escape from.

Rated R for all the stuff you'd expect from a horror flick, like blood, four letter words, and puppet nudity. 65 minutes long.

Regarding VHX - elmwood.vhx.tv

In 2015 Elmwood Productions joined VHX.  At the time VHX was up and coming as a great spot for independent film and show creators to have their films streaming and downloadable.  We were very excited to have a channel as part of VHX.  Jump forward a couple years and Vimeo bought them and promised to leave it alone.  

Soon after they downgraded it, and even made the App unavailable on Roku, AppleTV, and so on.  The only way to watch VHX on your TV was to use the website.  And that is not always convenient, or why we went with them in the first place.  

This unfortunately has hurt our business.  So, we have begun to search for a new outlet.  With that happening we have also decided to close our VHX channel at the end of the year.  All the content on there will be free on the Elmwood Productions YouTube the end of 2020.  The VHX page will be down on 1/1/2021.  If you did purchase a film or series from there and have not downloaded it, please do so soon.  And Purchases will still be available through the end of the year if you’d like to show Elmwood some love and support!

We loved VHX so much.  And we’re disappointed that it hasn’t worked out the way we hoped for.  But this is a time for progress!  We are treating this change as an opportunity to move to something even more exciting!

We did plan to release our next feature film “Bernice, Too” on VHX first.  For those who did the Kickstarter you will still have it first!  We’ll either be doing a direct download to you, or using a new streaming outlet.  Stay tuned!

From The Elmwood Vaults: The PLINK Years!

In 2001 Elmwood Productions started... Slowly... As we reach our 20th year making this madness we've been adding videos to YouTube from "The Elmwood Vaults". And not including footage from these early days would have been a shame! Sure, it's not Elmwood's greatest works. But it is what lead us to where we are today! So by 2003 Elmwood was creating and shooting a series called “It’s Late Enough with Plink” and a short film called “Josh and Todd” “Josh and Todd” was put on hold after a couple days of shooting, and was eventually re-started in 2008, and released in 2011. “Plink” was worked on from 2003-2006, and was never released officially. Here, for the first time is the “pilot” for “It’s Late Enough with Plink” and a trailer for the 2003 unfinished version of “Josh and Todd”. Also presented is a “demo reel” for “It’s Late Enough”.
